Why is our cities and government going bankrupt? Well that is Robert's topic for this weeks Rich Dad Radio. He takes the time to mention that he will not be neutral on his opinion of this topic. I didn't noticed he was been neutral before.
He has for guests Sal Diccicio and Tom Forese.
They discuss that it is our civil workers (Public Sector) that is robbing us into bankruptcy. The government is no longer a public service, they are in the self service system. I remember growing up, listening to the adults talk about jobs. Getting a government job was the ultimate goal. The reason was because you were then guaranteed an easy job, with guaranteed retirement ease. But if you work in the private sector, you made less with less benefits.
There was a time when an ex boyfriend of mine had started a new job working with a government work crew fixing roads. I would ask him how his new job was going. He was shocked, he had just gotten paid for eight hours of work when about four or more of those where spent laying on the side of the road waiting for this or that.
A co-worker of mine once told me about his wife having been reprimanded at her government job for being too efficient. She was getting through too many cases in a day, and was told she had to tone it down.
Robert and his guests are talking about the situation in the states. However the examples I have been expose to have all being in Canada.
One thing that Robert as said in this episode as stood out to me. Politicians are only concern about making it back in office so they will do and say anything to please the public. A leader however will make everyone mad and create great things.
Even if the government decided to fix the problems within itself, we would not let them. We are still too concern about what they can provide for us regardless of whether it can be afforded or not. We have become spoiled kids with a false sense of entitlement.

Rich Dad Radio: Are You A Born Loser?
This week, on Rich Dad Radio, Kim and Robert have Dr. Alexander Elder author of "Trading For A Living" and "Come To My Trading Room". Do you want to find out if you have what it takes to win?
This radio show holds a special place in my heart, because it talks about technical trading in the stock market. Especially in technical trading, you need to develop the right psychology. When we started learning on trading stocks, our mind set was the biggest hurdle we had to overcome. It's something we needed to overcome again and again as we grew bigger and as we became complacent. Some of us may never get to control our emotions enough to develop the right psychology to become successful. Dr Elder discuss risk control and money management for successful stock trading. Great stuff!!

Rich Dad Radio: The State Of Real Estate
This weeks guest speaker on Rich Dad Radio, is Rich Dad Advisor Ken McElroy author of "The ABC Of Real Estate Investing" and "The ABC To Property Managing".
Kim, Robert and Ken are discussing "Real Estate; is it a good time or a bad time to jump in?" Obama as been encouraging the country to reach for the american dream of owning your home. Should we be concern of history repeating itself? This scenario sounds awfully familiar.
Also, If Robert Kiyosaki keep saying your home is not an asset, why is he recommending real estate. Find out on this week's radio show.

Rich Dad Radio: Misty Hyman
This week on Rich Dad Radio, Robert and Kim are discussing what it takes to be successful with Olympic gold medallist Misty Hyman.
You can't accidentally reach the level of an Olympian without an large amount of dedication and work. Her trainer, JD Rosania who was also on the show explained that she succeeded because she believe what she was doing was working to get her to the goal she wanted to reach. If she had doubt in the process she would never have reached her goal.
Being adaptable was also a big part of her success. Misty had her advantage in the underwater kick off. She could remain a very long time underwater giving her a lead. However part way through her training the rules where changed limiting the time allowed under water forcing her to adjust her technique.
They also discussed the importance of setting new goals when you are about to reach the one you have set for you. Many who reach a goal that they had set for themselves, lose all momentum since they do not have an other goal to drive them.
Hope you enjoyed this week's radio show.

Rich Dad Radio: Back To School
This week on Rich Dad Radio, Robert and Kim have Tony D'Angelo for a guest. They are discussing the back to school season for students getting ready to attend college.
Student loans are the financial burden of this generation. There is more student loans then credit card loans at this time. The student loan wont go away by declaring bankruptcy. In fact there are only three way to rid yourself of a student loan: pay it (and if your are able to find suitable employment that is fine), become disabled, or die.
That is why every student should take a close look at the cost of education and if it will matches what you receive. With the high rate of unemployment and under employment, it may not be the case.

Rich Dad Radio: Death Is Cheap
This week on Rich Dad Radio, Robert and Kim have Dr. Radha Gopalan as a guest. If you have been a listener of Rich Dad Radio, you will recognize Dr. Gopalan, he as been a guest on the radio show many of time.
Many people out there preach that money does not matter, yet not one of them give up their monthly pay check. The truth is money does matter. It matters to maintain you daily life. This week on rich dad radio they are challenging the listeners to ask themselves "Can you afford to live?" "Can you afford to become ill?"
There are a few problem with the health care system. One of those problems is that the health care is really a sick care system. They do not support preventive treatment. An other problem is that health care is a business. Hospital fees are three times higher then the actual cost of treatments. What if you become ill? What if you require additional care and need to move in a home? Are you financially prepared for the additional expenses (and loss of income in some situation).
Did you know obesity is now considered a disease? I get that some medical issues can make someone more likely to gain weight. But come on; becoming obese is not a disease. We are becoming victims to our lifestyle but at the end of the day, we are in control.

Rich Dad Radio: Level Up
Find out if you can become a successful entrepreneur or if you will be the 99.9% that will fail on this week's Rich Dad Radio. Robert and Kim are joined by Rich Dad Advisor; Tom Wheelwright, NLF Athlete; Rod Smith and Vemma CEO; BK Boreyko.
Most people don't get rich because they are addicted to that steady pay check, so that most of it can be stolen by the government.
They are talking about been an entrepreneur and mostly MLM (Multi Level Marketing). The big problem with being an entrepreneur is that there is a big start up fee to find out if you have what it takes. Robert likes the MLM because the start up fees are low, many people can give it a try, and the only way to succeed is to help other people around you succeed as well.
They discussed the difference between MLMs and Pyramid Schemes. Pyramid schemes do not have a product. The only source to get ahead is to have more people under you providing more money. Robert compares the Pyramid Schemes to Social Securities.
MLM as been the biggest source of money making in the past few years. Most MLM business have a great support program and marketing tools make readily available. Listen to this week show and find out, is MLM for you?

Rich Dad Radio: Bubble Bobble
Before I talk about this weeks Rich Dad Radio show I would like to mention the July 6th show. If you remember that particular show was about the Canadian work force, but I was having technical difficulties and was unable to listen to the whole show. So I went back and was able to listen to the whole thing. What a surprise it was to hear Robert Kiyosaki answer one of my question on the air in the "Ask Robert" section. I'm famous and didn't know it :) Well maybe not famous but it sure was cool.
This week Robert had Richard Duncan for a guest speaker. Richard is an economist and author of "The Corruption Of Capitalist", "The Dollar Crisis", and "The New Depression". The question Robert ask him was is this rally in the economy false, and Richards answer was "Yes". Although the stock market is at an all-time high (mainly due to the fed's wild money printing) but the retail debt, automotive loans, student loans are at an all-time high and so is the taxes on the income. The pattern of the stock market is seeming to be the same as it was before the 2000 crash and the 2008 mortgage bubble crash.
This week show was very interesting and informative. Let me know what you think of it.

Rich Dad Radio: Stage A Revolution
This week on Rich Dad Radio Robert and Kim are interviewing author Dave Logan, writer of Tribal Leadership.
In his book Tribal Leadership, Dave described the five stages of leadership.
1. Life Sucks: This would be the group of people that are so dissatisfied with life as a whole that their ethics are getting shabby. These people could be cooking the books, or other immoral activities. This would be 2% of the people.
2. My Life Sucks: This group of people have lots hope. They are 25% of the people. They are unhappy with the situation but they are also unmotivated to attempt any efforts to change the situation
3. I'm Great: This stage could be more called, I'm Great; And Your Not. This group would mostly be the specialised professional that have develop a sentiment of superiority to others. Lawyers, Doctors, Accountant and so on. This sense of superiority was formed in the school environment.
4. We're Great: Dave describes this more as We're Great And Your Not. Teamwork is strong in this stage, but it also as the us against the world. It's an environment of competition.
5. Life Is Great: They aim for overall greatness.
The book is to recognize which individual you have in your business and how to lead them to attain the higher stages. Tools and audio books can be found at www.DaveLogan.com.

Rich Dad Radio: Technical Difficulties
I was pretty excited about the Rich Dad Radio this week. Robert is visiting in BC and he's discussing Canadian issues. He was shocked at the amount of people that complained about the lack of work available. As a guest, he had someone from Shale Oil discussing position they have open seeking employees. They also discussed the high level of pay. But a high paying job isn't enough you also need to .......
Yup that's when I got the technical difficulty. For some reason the episode will not load past this stage for me.
So hopefully this problem is only with me and my internet connection. Or that it is fixed soon.

Rich Dad Radio: Imperial Fashion Show
This week on Rich Dad Radio, Robert and Kim have for guest Councilman Sal Diciccio and Treasurer Doug Ducey. This topic as been initiated by the city of Detroit entering into bankruptcy.
Robert starts this show by stating "This one (radio show) will upset a number of people".
This week, he is touching on the problem with the Union. The Union as been an untouchable subject. You will get shut down quickly if you criticize the pension plan and walk away check for fire fighters, police officers, teachers and other public servant. We view them as people who "sacrifice their life for the public".
Pension and walk away check (resignation bonus in the hundred of thousands of dollars, then they get their pension) is one of the largest unfunded debt. This is paid by taxes to the middle class.
Listen to the show to see why they say "The country needs to live within its means".
As well as why when the property value goes down, the property taxes still goes up.

Rich Dad Radio: Two For The Price Of One
Well I missed last episode so I will post about both Rich Dad Radio shows today. The first one is about poverty making you sick. Literally. Dr. Radha Gopalan who is a leading heart surgeon, talks about studies showing that poor people where more likely to succumb to viruses. Dr. Gopalan as studied both western and eastern medicine practices. They also talk about the physical manifestation that can develop from stressing over money. All in all, again a very interesting show.
On this week's radio show, the guest speaker was Bert Dohmen and they discussed currency confusion. Bert discussed the manipulation of the currency from the government. He discusses the impending crash that he suspect may take place next year. According to him, the government is manipulating the markets trying to keep the stock market strong hoping the money will trickle down into the economy of the country. The part about this show that I appreciated the most was when he praised technical trading as a strategy for being in the stock market. He says everything else in these type of economics is lagging or speculative. It's nice to know we are doing it right.

Rich Dad Radio: Blair Singer
This week, Robert as for a guest Rich Dad Adviser, Blair Singer. They are discussing entrepreneurship and how in the first five years how 90% of those business will fail, and for those who makes it through, most of those will fail in the next five years.
In today's economics with the lacks of jobs entrepreneurship is becoming more important and necessary. It's a subject they are actually starting to include in school the only problem is they are using teachers who are employees to teach them.
To be a successful entrepreneur, one of the most importing thing you will need to learn is to sale. Blair Singer actually wrote the book Sales Dog. Robert and Kim also recommend networking companies with good sales training as been a great way of learning to sale.
Having a good idea is no longer enough.

Rich Dad Radio: Jennifer Adams
This week on Rich Dad Radio, Kim Kiyosaki is hosting the radio show while Robert is promoting his new book. For a guest she as Jennifer Adams. Kim is talking about being an entrepreneur and what it takes to be a success one and whether or not you have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur yourself.
Listening in to find out how these two great women became entrepreneur from the ground up, and what made them successful.

Rich Dad Radio: Rhonda and Greg Jagger with JW Wilson
This week on Rich Dad Radio, Robert and Kim talked about a very difficult subject. Are our kids safe at school. They had for guest Rhonda and Greg who work with difficult and dangerous children. How do you handle disturbed children to avoid any escalation that could put the safety of other children at risk?
As a mom, I have to think my kids are safe in school or I would not be able to send them off every day. Not only are we worried about them fitting in and not having to deal with bullying but now we have to worry about school shooting. Living in a small community does give me a sense of peace. But violence in school it's becoming a big concern for all parents.

Rich Dad Radio: Lucas Dinahan (Candy Man)
This week radio show was recorded in Vancouver, Canada while Robert was on his book tour. He had for guest a young fifteen year old entrepreneur, Lucas Dinahan and his father Lance and an ex-principal Rick and Warren Weeks from Fast Track.
Lucas has a candy/vending machine business. He currently owns 80 machines and has 30 more in storage ready to find a location. He purchase his first gum ball machine with the help of his dad at age of four when he wanted to buy a video game. He's hoping to learn more about real estate and stocks.
Rick shared a story of when he was a principal and he had a teacher bring a kid to his office for selling products (legal products) from his locker. Rick found this situation a little uncomfortable. On the one side he is to support the teacher and discipline this student, on the other side, this student is simply taking advantage of an opportunity he saw. The school system is not equipped to support young entrepreneur.
Entrepreneur classes are started to be taught in school; in fact I have taken that class when I was in high school. It was taught by math teacher who was an employee. They are discussing how effective this course will be on owning and managing a business when the teachers are employees.
This was a great show on Rich Dad Radio. Inspiring to teach the proper education to ensure my kids get financial freedom when they grow up, not just a J.O.B.

Rich Dad Radio: The Next 3 G's
Last week on rich dad radio, Robert talked about getting prepared for possible crisis. He's anticipating a financial crisis in the U.S.A.
He spoke of the 5 G's (Grub, Guns, Ground, Gold, and Gas). He talked more explicitly of Grub and Guns (phisical survival).
This week he spoke of the next 3 G's. Ground, Gold and Gas are for your financial survival.
Did you know the government is printing $80 millions a month? Injecting in the market trying to boost the economy, but how long can they support that. At the same time they are shorting gold to keep the people into the paper assets.

Rich Dad Radio: eFood & Bears Arms
If you where surrounded into a crisis situation, how long would you last? Robert Kiyosaki is very passionate about been prepared for worst case scenarios. He as been putting together what he calls the 5 G's:
In a crisis situation, how long would you last?
- Grub: non perishable foods to last at least a year
- Gas: gasoline to still remain mobile
- Ground: a safe piece of real estate
- Gold: Robert as had gold and silver made into small coins, because in the case of a economic crisis, that will be the only real money
- Guns: It may be his military background, but Robert is adamant about been in a position to protect himself, his family and his belonging
In a crisis situation, how long would you last?

Rich Dad Radio: Does School Make You Richer Or Poorer, Smarter Or More Stupid?
This week on Rich Dad Radio, Robert invited his youngest guest yet, Haley age 10.
Haley is currently attending public school, there was a school project where she had to pick a job. She raised her hand and said "When I grow up I don't want to have a job, I want to own a business. May I pick that."
"No!"
Well If that is not school teaching their students to become an employee, I don't know what is.
They also discussed how her spirit was crushed, when her project she submitted was degraded for lack of effort when the subject was something her teacher did not agree with.
What can our kids do when they do not get along with their teachers? I was always told to suck it up and make it work. To not be defiant and do as I am told.

Rich Dad Radio: Congressmen Ron Paul
This week on Rich Dad Radio, the guest speaker was congressmen Ron Paul. He shares is view on the current economics in the United States.
I got home very late last night and tried to listen to the show and to blog about it. I would be typing and dosing off and waking up again to a combination of letters that did not form any words. So that is my reason for this post being late. If I would have done it on time, you wouldn't have understood anything anyways.
I found this week's radio show to be of great interest. Congressmen Paul discussed a few key points. Why the USA left the gold standards and go to fiat or paper money in order to support a big government. He also discuss whether politician can improve the economic recession, they sure can make it worst. Robert ask congressmen Paul why money is not taught in school, his answer is because the school are controlled by the government. He is a big advocate of home schooling and to keep the government out of our children's education.
As he often does on this radio show, Ben Bernarke, who is the current chairman of the Federal Reserve, took a bit of a beating. Why didn't he see, in his position, the development of the mortgage crash of 2008? He is a graduate of Harvard and MIT, shouldn't he be smart enough to have seen this coming, when others prophesied it? And why is the country looking to Bernarke and the government for a solutions when they missed seeing the arrival of the problem.
The radio show also discussed the drop in the gold price, and the reason behind it. Did you know the Feb as been shorting gold? If you are unfamiliar with the concept of shorting, it is when you sell a stock (in most cases it is stocks) that you do not currently own in the hopes of buying it at a later time to close your position at a lower price.
So to sum it up, great show this weeks, lots on interesting information. In fact if you would like to quickly learn more of the mortgage crash of 2008 I would recommend the movie Too Big To Fail.
